Keto Roasted Brussels Sprouts

78 ratings

I like to find Brussels Sprouts that are already washed in a bag. It makes life easier because they all you need to do is cut the sprouts in half, drizzle them with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and roast them. Placing your baking sheet in the oven while the oven is heating helps to get a really good sear on them to make them nice and golden brown. It makes for a super quick, healthy side to pair with any type of protein.

I have been making roasted Brussels sprouts for decades and 425 seems too fierce to me. I always cook mine at 400 for 20+/- minutes, depending on size, on bottom shelf. I toss them in oil and melted butter in a bowl, but I always season them after they are on the foil lined pan, then spread them out. I found seasoning and tossing them in a bowl leaves a lot of the seasoning in the bottom of the bowl and not enough on the sprouts. I also add chopped uncooked bacon about half way thru the cooking.

This is one of my go-to favorites. I switch up the flavor with different herbs or spices. Also, whole time consuming, the loose Brussels Sprouts leaves individually roasted brown in such a way from this original recipe, if you peel off outter leaves and cook them until crispy, they taste like chips! Hurray!

Never had Brussel sprouts before so I thought I would give this recipe a try and sprinkled them with parmesian cheese. Not bad but won't buy them again. Just not my cup of tea.

A nice, simple recipe that brings out the sweetness of the Brussels Sprouts. There is a flavor similar to charred marshmallows in some of the leaves. Could be improved with seasoning of some sort, garlic, or lemon juice- plenty good enough just like this. Should be served with a strong flavored entree.

Try thyme, too, with roasts spiced similarly.

I cut fresh Brussels in half, boil them for 10 minutes and then stir in olive oil, onion powder, and then pop into the air fryer for 10-12 minutes at 400. OMG

Thank you, Marzia. I boiled min for 5 min, then followed your air fryer directions. Very good! Lots of brown crispiness

How hard the sprouts after boiling for 10 minutes? I’m thinking about steaming instead of boiling.

If you change the number of servings it changes the amount needed.
